Job summary

Desert Parkway Behavioral Healthcare Hospital is seeking an Environmental Services (EVS) Aide to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients, staff and visitors.

You will disinfect patient rooms and common areas, handle waste per infection control standards, and operate floor cleaning equipment. The schedule is one or two days per week as needed. A high school diploma and at least one year of hospital housekeeping experience are preferred; English reading/writing is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One (1) year housekeeping experience required, preferably in a hospital or medical setting.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Strong attention to detail and physical stamina.
• Knowledge of cleaning and disinfectant products.

Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces, restrooms, patient rooms, and public areas according to hospital standards.
• Properly handle and dispose of biohazardous and regular waste.
• Operate specialized floor cleaning equipment, such as buffers and vacuums.
• Follow all safety, Joint Commission/CMS regulations, and infection control protocols.
• Ensure EVS closets and equipment are clean, organized, and secure.
