Job summary

Desert Parkway Behavioral Healthcare Hospital is seeking an EVS Aide to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients, staff, and visitors. You will clean patient rooms and common areas, disinfect surfaces, and follow infection control protocols.

The role requires attention to detail and stamina, with duties including waste disposal and operating cleaning equipment. The schedule runs Friday through Tuesday, 1:30pm to 10:00pm.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year housekeeping experience required, preferably in a hospital or medical setting.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Strong attention to detail and physical stamina.
• Knowledge of cleaning and disinfectant products.

Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces, restrooms, patient rooms, and public areas according to hospital standards.
• Properly handle and dispose of biohazardous and regular waste.
• Operate specialized floor cleaning equipment, such as buffers and vacuums.
• Follow all safety, Joint Commission/CMS regulations, and infection control protocols.
• Ensure EVS closets and equipment are clean, organized, and secure.
