Sodexo is seeking an Environmental Services / Custodial Operations Manager 2 for West Chester Hospital, located in West Chester, Ohio. West Chester Hospital is part of the UC Health system and is a Level III Trauma Center, a certified Primary Stroke Center, and is designated as a Magnet hospital for excellence in nursing care. The Environmental Service / Custodial Operations Manager will oversee general housekeeping operations and manage a staff of 2 custodial managers and 50 hourly employees. This is a day shift position with typical working hours of 8:00 am - 5:00 pm with rotating weekend coverage. The ideal candidate will have two or more years of environmental service management experience, ideally in a healthcare environment.

What You'll Do
  • Be responsible for driving client and patient satisfaction scores.
  • Provide a clean and safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff and work closely with the Infectious Control department.
  • Work with the Environment of Care Committee and Infection Prevention Director.
  • Effectively manage the Unit Operating System.
  • Support a diverse and inclusive workforce.

What You Bring
  • Experience leading and managing a team and is a leader who develops and motivates a team to exceed the expectations of clients and customers in service and the technical execution of a healthcare housekeeping system.
  • Experience driving customer service and/or guest satisfaction results in a healthcare environment is preferred.
  • Strong leadership skills and can work independently to drive program compliance and reach project target dates of completion.
  • Experience analyzing data, presenting, and effectively communicating to all levels within the organization related to training, leading hospital committees, and change management.
  • In-depth knowledge of housekeeping systems and procedures.
  • Experience with vendor and contract management, as well as union and contract negotiations.
  • Experience improving patient satisfaction, and driving full compliance to HCAHPS, local, state, and Joint Commission standards.

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement: Associate's Degree or equivalent experience.
Minimum Management Experience: 2 years.
Minimum Functional Experience: 2 years of work experience in Housekeeping, Environmental or Custodial Services.
