Job summary

Sodexo is seeking an experienced Hospital Environmental Services manager in Chicago to lead frontline teams on a 3rd shift, 10:30pm–7:30am, with rotating weekends. You will oversee daily operations, coach staff, and ensure safety, cleanliness, and regulatory compliance across the unit.

The role requires strong leadership, coaching, and people-management skills, including performance evaluations and corrective actions, while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and teamwork.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership and coaching skills, with experience managing corrective action and performance improvement processes. This position will operate on a 3rd shift, 10:30pm - 7:30am schedule with rotating weekends.

About The Job

In this hands‑on leadership role, you will oversee frontline teams to deliver exceptional environmental services that prioritize safety, compliance, and efficiency. You'll manage daily operations, guide team development, and help maintain high standards that create clean, healthy, and welcoming environments. Accountable for managing people, setting direction and deploying resources; typically is responsible for performance evaluation, pay reviews and hire/fire decisions. Results are primarily achieved through the work of others and typically depend on the manager's ability to influence and negotiate with parts of the organization. Progression within Career Band reflects acquisition of broad technical expertise, business and industry knowledge, and process and people leadership capabilities. Accountable for business, functional or operational areas, processes or programs, which may include dotted-line or matrixed management.

Pay Range: $61710 per year - $79860 per year
