Harrison Memorial Hospital in Cynthiana, Kentucky, seeks a full-time environmental services team member to perform routine cleaning of patient rooms, offices, and clinical areas. You will follow CDC and Joint Commission guidelines, handle waste, and maintain logs.

The role requires high school diploma or equivalent, ability to follow instructions, and flexibility for various shifts. Benefits include medical, life, dental, vision, and retirement plans. 1st shift, Monday–Friday 7a–3:30p.

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform repetitive cleaning operations.
• Ability to learn methods of cleaning and caring for hospital facilities.
• Ability to read and follow written instructions on labels for safe and proper use of chemicals, supplies, and equipment.
• Ability to communicate effectively and to present information and respond to questions from guards, staff, and others.
• Ability to build effective working relationships with co-workers, supervisors, and others.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing work priorities.

Responsibilities

• Clean, dust, and polish cabinets, furniture, lockers, and baseboards.
• Clean stairwells, hallways, restrooms, offices and patient rooms.
• Clean wall surfaces, ceilings, baseboards, floor surfaces, doors, blinds, vents, toilets, metal fixtures, shelves, furniture, privacy stalls, and windows.
• Follow safety and infection control procedures.
• Empty and clean waste receptacles; vacuum floors; move and arrange furniture as needed.
• Disinfect and sanitize rooms and common areas, restock bathroom dispensers.
• Read MSDS and cleaning product directions; use chemicals safely.
• Maintain storage areas and logs/checklists.
• Respond to environmental emergencies and requests for assistance.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
