Job Summary/Purpose
Performs routine cleaning of patient rooms, nursing units, offices, clinical areas, waiting areas, lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, corridors, elevators and stairways in a clean, neat and sanitary manner. Demonstrates understanding of training and education related to evidence-based recommendations in accordance with the CDC, The Joint Commission, and other regulatory bodies. Follows all environmental and infection prevention practices (i.e. proper cleaning and disinfection protocols and processes, hand hygiene, standard & isolation precautions, as well as proper donning and doffing of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). May be required to work any shift and schedule in a variety of settings throughout the hospital and may be required to work overtime and float to other work locations as determined by the operational needs of the facility.
