Job summary

Firelands Regional Medical Center in Sandusky, OH is seeking a dependable Environmental Services Aide to clean patient areas and facilities. You will wash furniture, walls, fixtures, and equipment with germicidal solutions, and assist in outpatient and sterile processing areas as required.

You will complete all scheduled tasks with high quality, report unfinished work, and maintain organization of spaces for meetings, workshops, and community events.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift 50 pounds and be mobile.
• Ability to read and understand simple verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic calculations.

Responsibilities

• Cleans assigned areas by washing furniture, tile, fixtures, and equipment with germicidal cleaning solutions.
• Cleans in outpatient and sterile processing using proper cleaning solutions.
• Completes all procedures scheduled during the shift with quality, reports incomplete assignments.
• Collects waste from all areas of hospital and sanitizes waste cans; collects soiled/ hazardous waste as per Infection Control.
• Climbs ladder to reach high areas; arranges furniture for meetings and events.
• Maintains cleanliness to support patient and staff environments.
