GENERAL OVERVIEW:

Eligible Sign on Bonus details for qualified candidates:

$1,000 (after 90 days of continuous employment)

Performs standardized cleaning in patient rooms, offices, departments, and other areas using appropriate procedures.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Performs timely cleaning of patient rooms and supports various departments; includes discharge cleaning, cycle cleaning, office cleaning, and ancillary area cleaning to ensure smooth patient care and operations. Also includes cleaning building exteriors, refilling dispensers, and collecting receptacles. (55%)
  • Completes assigned project work such as wall washing, trash removal, biohazardous linens, sharps container removal, and assists with hospital emergency cleanup. (10%)
  • Participates in Patient Satisfaction initiatives to meet department goals. (10%)
  • Follows all safety standards regarding chemicals, equipment, machinery, and hazardous area marking. (15%)
  • Adheres to hospital policies, procedures, rules, regulations, and regulatory standards. (10%)
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum

  • FIT testing may be required; provided upon hire if needed.
  • Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
  • Basic reading, writing, and communication skills.
  • Ability to operate power equipment.
