Job summary

OhioHealth is seeking a dedicated Environmental Service Associate to clean and maintain patient rooms, public areas, and service areas while delivering strong customer service throughout the facility. The role supports hospital processes and safety standards in a high-reliability organization.

Evening shift, 40 hours per week, with duties that may include moving beds or furniture and completing paperwork to monitor department statistics.

Qualifications

• No degree or diploma required.
• HS diploma/GED preferred for individuals over 18 and not in high school.

Responsibilities

• Obtain cleaning or maintenance requests from automated system, daily assignment sheet, or verbal direction and perform assigned duties.
• Follow equipment usage procedures and keep equipment and supplies in good condition; notify area via work orders to track equipment.
• Stock assigned carts and areas at appropriate levels; include linen distribution in stocking tasks.
• Willingness to perform additional duties including storeroom maintenance to meet cleanliness and safety standards.
• Provide high level of customer service to patients and other customers throughout the OhioHealth organization.

Provide customer service to all customers by cleaning and maintaining patient rooms, public areas and service areas by completing task that support departmental and organization processes. This cleaning and maintaining will be defined by specific job/task assignments.Responsibilities And Duties:40%Obtains assigned cleaning or maintenance request either from automated system, daily assignment sheet or verbal direction. Performs other functions required of the position, as assigned, which could include moving of beds or furniture required to service customers or execute the cleaning process. Must follow departmental/organizational processes to complete assigned duties. Must complete all paperwork needed to monitor departmental statistics.20%Must follow direction and proper usage of all equipment used in job performance; to include cleanliness. Specific equipment will pertain to each job assignment. Notifies appropriate area through work order process and other defined paperwork to keep all equipment and misc. items throughout the hospital.10%Keeps all assigned carts and areas stocked to appropriate operating levels.
