Job summary

OhioHealth Environmental Services seeks Environmental Service Associates to clean patient rooms, public areas and service areas while delivering exceptional customer service throughout the hospital.

The evening shift (40 hours per week) emphasizes safety, quality, and efficiency as part of our High Reliability Organization, with responsibilities including maintaining supplies and following department processes.

Qualifications

• No degree or diploma required
• HS diploma/GED preferred for individuals over 18

Responsibilities

• Obtains assigned cleaning or maintenance request from system, daily sheet, or verbal direction.
• Follows proper usage of all equipment and reports issues through paperwork to track equipment and supplies.
• Keeps all carts and areas stocked at appropriate levels; includes linen distribution.
• Willing to perform other duties including storeroom maintenance to meet cleanliness and safety standards.
• Delivers high level of customer service throughout the OhioHealth organization as part of a High Reliability Organization (HRO).

Provide customer service to all customers by cleaning and maintaining patient rooms, public areas and service areas by completing task that support departmental and organization processes. This cleaning and maintaining will be defined by specific job/task assignments.Responsibilities And Duties:40%Obtains assigned cleaning or maintenance request either from automated system, daily assignment sheet or verbal direction. Performs other functions required of the position, as assigned, which could include moving of beds or furniture required to service customers or execute the cleaning process. Must follow departmental/organizational processes to complete assigned duties. Must complete all paperwork needed to monitor departmental statistics.20%Must follow direction and proper usage of all equipment used in job performance; to include cleanliness. Specific equipment will pertain to each job assignment. Notifies appropriate area through work order process and other defined paperwork to keep all equipment and misc. items throughout the hospital.10%Keeps all assigned carts and areas stocked to appropriate operating levels.
