Our Environmental Services (EVS) Department is ranked among the highest-performing teams in healthcare. As an Environmental Services Area Cleaner at South Pointe Hospital, you will help create a safe and comfortable environment for our patients. This role offers a pathway to other careers within Cleveland Clinic's Environmental Services and other departments.

Work Schedule: Evenings from 2:00 PM to 11:30 PM.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean patient rooms, ancillary areas, exam rooms, offices, waiting areas, public restrooms, discharge rooms, and other assigned areas.
• Stock supplies in patient rooms, exam rooms, and restrooms.
• Follow scripting, policies, and procedures related to patient isolation and environmental cleaning standards.
• Adhere to all safety requirements hospital-wide and within the department.
• Complete onboarding training to learn departmental policies, cleaning techniques, and proper use of cleaning agents.

Preferred Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to perform stationary work for extended periods.
• Mobility for extended periods.
• Operate computers and other office equipment.
• Communicate effectively.
• Transport items up to 10 pounds.
• Transport equipment up to or over 100 pounds.
• Inspect equipment and use cleaning products and equipment.
• Potential contact with communicable diseases and body fluids.

Personal Protective Equipment:

• Use PPE as required following standard precautions.
