Qualifications

• Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English.
• Must have basic computer skills (email/basic internet).
• Ability to operate standard cleaning equipment such as carts, buffers and vacuums as trained.
• Ability to stay calm in a fast-paced environment and multitask.
• Effective communication and teamwork with patients, staff and health care workers.
• High School Diploma, GED, or Equivalent Work Experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and sanitizes environment daily and with appropriate equipment to provide a clean and safe environment.
• Collects, transports and disposes of municipal, recycled and regulated medical waste, following regulations.
• Transports, moves and delivers furniture, equipment and other hospital items using carts and dollies, safely.
• Performs other related duties as required.
