Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking an Environmental Services Aide/Housekeeper in Butte, MT. The role maintains sanitary, safe, and attractive hospital environments to meet Joint Commission standards and supports patient care areas.

You will perform cleaning, waste disposal, stock supplies, and assist with beds and IV pumps under standard procedures. Preference given to applicants with a High School Diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, standing, walking, bending and crawling.
• Good communication and listening skills for patient interaction.

Responsibilities

• Clean and vacuum all floor surfaces in patient areas and facilities.
• Dispose of infectious and non-infectious waste per policy.
• Clean patient rooms and common areas to hospital standards.
• Dust all surfaces, high and low, and restock supplies for carts and rooms.
• Assist with cleaning beds and IV pumps as trained.
• Demonstrate appropriate communication with patients, visitors, and staff.

This position is responsible for performing general housekeeping tasks to maintain the facility and associated buildings in a sanitary, safe, and attractive condition and to meet hospital and Joint Commission standards.

Wednesday through Sunday - 7am - 3:30pm

Job Details

As an Environmental Services Aide / Housekeeper you need to know how to:

• Clean and vacuum all floor surfaces.
• Dispose of all infectious and non-infectious waste.
• Clean patient rooms and common areas.
• Dust all areas both high and low.
• Stock supplies for cart and room as required.
• Demonstrate proficiency in the cleaning of beds and the Alaris IV Pumps.
• Demonstrate communication skills according to age of patient/visitor/customer.
• Give proper instructions to patients/visitor/customer relative to his/her age requirements

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
