Job Description

The Environmental Services team member will clean and maintain the school facilities. The hours for this position are Monday through Friday, 3:30 PM to 8:30 PM.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Performs cleaning of floor and wall surfaces in designated areas by washing, sweeping, dusting, vacuuming or mopping with specified cleaning agents; removes spillage by wet mopping or wiping; demonstrates attention to detail.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, cafeteria, and other designated spaces.
• Maintains a neat and orderly environmental service closet. Responsible for cleaning equipment after use.
• Assists in examining the school for possible safety hazards; reports deficiencies to supervisor.
• Assists with event setup and teardown.
• Transports and empties trash by depositing it at specified collection points.
• Remains energetic and motivated to support the success of a growing service.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Knowledge of safety procedures and proper use of various cleaning and sanitizing solutions.
• Detail-oriented and thorough.
• Ability to interact with staff, students, parents, and visitors at school while remaining professional and courteous.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Physical Requirements:
• Prolonged periods of standing.
• Must be able to lift, bend, stoop, climb, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
