Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in Baskin Ridge, NJ is seeking an Environmental Services Aide I to join our Environmental Services team. The role focuses on cleaning and maintaining a safe, healing environment for patients, families, and staff, while following Seven Step Cleaning Guidelines.

Qualifications

• No prior Environmental Services experience required – training provided.
• Able to operate or learn to use floor-cleaning equipment and perform physical tasks (standing, walking, bending, pushing) for extended periods.
• Capable of lifting at least 30 lbs.
• Basic computer knowledge to support communication and training.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily and thorough cleaning using the Seven Step Cleaning Guidelines in the ESA Manual.
• Safely remove general, infectious waste and soiled linen according to hospital procedures.
• Handle and mix cleaning chemicals according to safety and infection control standards.
• Use equipment such as the cardboard baler and trash compactor safely.
• Support unit operations with small moves or room setups as needed.
• Participate in department meetings and required training sessions.
• Complete additional projects or assignments as directed by leadership.
• Share ideas for efficiency, safety, and workflow improvement.

• Perform daily and thorough cleaning using the Seven Step Cleaning Guidelines in the Environmental Services Aide (ESA) Manual
• Safely remove general, infectious waste and soiled linen following hospital procedures and safety guidelines
• Handle and mix cleaning chemicals according to safety and infection control standards
• Use equipment such as the cardboard baler and trash compactor properly and safely
• Support unit operations by completing small moves or room setups as needed
• Participate in department meetings and required training sessions
• Complete additional projects or assignments as directed by leadership
• Share ideas for improving efficiency, safety, and workflow as part of MSK's culture of continuous improvement

Key Qualifications:

• No prior Environmental Services experience required - if you meet the basic qualifications and bring the right mindset, we'll provide the training you need to succeed

• Location: 136 Mountain View Boulevard, Basking Ridge, NJ
• Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:30am-4:30pm. Every other weekend 10am-6pm
• Report to Supervisor, Environmental Services
