Job summary

Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK) is seeking a Medical Coordinator for our Westchester location. The role supports patient flow, scheduling, and check-in to check-out to ensure a welcoming clinical experience. Training is provided with two weeks of onboarding in Manhattan.

Work will be onsite at MSK Westchester, 500 Westchester Avenue, West Harrison, NY 10604. The schedule comprises 10-hour shifts, four days per week, with occasional weekends and flexibility between shifts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• 1 year of relevant experience in a healthcare, customer service, or patient-facing role
• Ability to work onsite in a clinical environment, including performing basic clinical tasks such as taking vital signs

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for our patients in the outpatient clinic setting
• Support clinic operations through patient scheduling, registration, and flow management
• Provide hands-on assistance with preparing exam rooms, rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, and reviewing/updating allergies/pharmacy/medication lists as needed
• Facilitate timely and clear communication between patients, providers, and the team
• Maintain MSK's standards for cleanliness, safety, and infection control are met
• Serve as an advocate for patient comfort, access, and satisfaction throughout the care journey

Exciting Opportunity at MSK:

Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK) is hiring a compassionate and detail-oriented Medical Coordinator to join our patient care team. In this key role, you'll help ensure a smooth, welcoming clinical experience for patients and families-from check-in to check-out.

Schedule:

10-hour shifts, 4 days/week, fully onsite. Hours vary between 6:00 am and 10:00 pm (Monday-Friday, occasional weekends). Schedules are provided one week in advance, and flexibility between shifts is expected.

Role Overview:

Additional Information:

• Training: 2 weeks of classroom training in Manhattan at the beginning of employment, Monday - Friday, 9 am - 5 pm

• Employees in this role are required to use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and must be fit-tested for N95 respirators as part of MSK's safety protocols.
