ScionHealth seeks an Environmental Services Associate to perform cleaning, sanitation and upkeep of patient areas at Kindred Hospital Seattle – First Hill in downtown Seattle. You will operate cleaning equipment, stock supplies and ensure a safe, neat environment for patients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Clean assigned areas and support moving furniture and supplies.
• Prepare cleaning solutions and load cart for service.
• Clean walls, fixtures, patient TVs/equipment with germicidal solutions.
• Sweep, mop floors and vacuum; spot-clean carpet.
• Clean restrooms and replenish supplies; maintain sanitary conditions.
• Collect trash and sanitize garbage cans.
• Transport hazardous waste in closed container for sterilization.
• Collect and distribute linen.
• Arrange furniture for meetings and events.
• Return unused supplies to janitor closet

Kindred Hospital Seattle – First Hill is an 80-bed long-term acute care hospital offering the same in depth care you would receive in a traditional hospital, but for an extended recovery period. We partner with your physician and offer 24-hour clinical care seven days a week so you can start your journey to wellness. We are located in the heart of downtown Seattle, surrounded by a number of shops and restaurants within walking distance.

Job Summary

Cleans and services building areas; moves furniture, equipment and supplies; and performs a variety of environmental services duties to maintain the hospital in a neat, safe and sanitary condition.

Essential Functions

• Selects cleaning materials/supplies and prepares cleaning solutions. Loads service cart and transports to work area.
• Cleans assigned area (including, but on limited to walls, doors, tile, fixtures, patient TVs and equipment) with germicidal cleaning solutions.
• Sweeps, mops floors and vacuums carpet. Spot cleans carpet using appropriate solutions.
• Cleans restrooms, vanity areas, showers and commodes, maintaining sanitary and odor free conditions. Replenishes essentials.
• Collects and removes trash, sanitizes all garbage cans and compactor area.
• May collect and transport hazardous waste in a special closed container for sterilization before disposal.
• May collect soiled linen and distribute clean linen.
• Arranges furniture for meetings, workshops and community affairs.
• Returns unused supplies to janitor closet ensuring all supplies are replaced in an orderly manner.

• Must read, write and speak fluent English to comprehend instructions of cleaning materials.

Pay range: $21.47 - $22.78/Hr
