Job summary

ScionHealth's Kindred Hospital Seattle – First Hill seeks an Environmental Services Associate to maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary hospital environment through cleaning of patient areas and facilities.

You will perform duties from the essential functions list including selecting materials, transporting supplies, cleaning walls and fixtures, restrooms, trash removal, and linen handling; prior acute care experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Must read, write and speak fluent English to comprehend instructions of cleaning materials.
• Good attendance required.
• Experience in acute care setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Selects cleaning materials/supplies and prepares cleaning solutions; loads service cart and transports to work area.
• Cleans assigned area with germicidal cleaning solutions (walls, doors, tile, fixtures, patient TVs and equipment).
• Sweeps, mops floors and vacuums carpet; spot cleans carpet using appropriate solutions.
• Cleans restrooms, vanity areas, showers and commodes; maintains sanitary and odor-free conditions; replenishes essentials.
• Collects and removes trash; sanitizes garbage cans and compactor area.
• May collect and transport hazardous waste in a special closed container for sterilization before disposal.
• May collect soiled linen and distribute clean linen.
• Arranges furniture for meetings, workshops and community affairs.
• Returns unused supplies to janitor closet ensuring all supplies are replaced in an orderly manner.

Kindred Hospital Seattle – First Hill is an 80-bed long-term acute care hospital offering the same in depth care you would receive in a traditional hospital, but for an extended recovery period. We partner with your physician and offer 24-hour clinical care seven days a week so you can start your journey to wellness. We are located in the heart of downtown Seattle, surrounded by a number of shops and restaurants within walking distance.

Job Summary

Cleans and services building areas; moves furniture, equipment and supplies; and performs a variety of environmental services duties to maintain the hospital in a neat, safe and sanitary condition.

Essential Functions

• Selects cleaning materials/supplies and prepares cleaning solutions. Loads service cart and transports to work area.
• Cleans assigned area (including, but on limited to walls, doors, tile, fixtures, patient TVs and equipment) with germicidal cleaning solutions.

Education

• High School Diploma or Equivalent including education equivalent to completion of secondary school or demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of the role. (Preferred)

Pay Range: $23.43 - $25.06/Hr
