St. Luke’s University Health Network is seeking an Environmental Services Aide to perform the general and aseptic cleaning of patient rooms and hospital areas according to approved guidelines and procedures.
You will clean with appropriate supplies, prepare rooms and beds, mop floors, dust surfaces, remove trash, and follow safety rules; a high school diploma or GED is preferred and 3–6 months of hospital housekeeping experience is recommended; compensation ranges from $15.15 to $22.73 per hour.
The Environmental Services Aide performs the general and aseptic cleaning and sanitizing of patient rooms, auxiliary room and other specified areas throughout the hospital, using proper cleaning guidelines and procedures.
Walks for up to 6-7 hours/day; 1 to 4 hours at a time. Stands for 1-2 hours/day; 0 to 1 hours at a time. Occasional firm grasping. Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs. Occasionally carries up to 50 lbs. Frequent pushing and pulling up to 50 lbs. Occasionally stoop, bend, squat and kneel. Occasional crouching. Frequently reaches above shoulder level. Hearing as it relates to normal conversation and seeing as it relates to general and near vision.
High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalency preferred.
Three to six months of experience in housekeeping in either a hospital or institutional setting preferred.

Final determinations with respect to salary will take into account a number of factors, which may include, but not be limited to the primary work location and the chosen candidate’s relevant skills, experience, and education. We will meet minimum wage or minimum of the pay range (whichever is higher) based on state requirements.
