Job summary

VCU Health's Environmental Services Aide at Tappahannock Hospital maintains high-quality cleaning standards across the facility in compliance with guidelines. Experience with infection control and universal precautions is preferred, and English communication is required.

The position is part-time (16 hours weekly) with evenings and potential holiday/weekend shifts; a high school diploma or equivalent is preferred. Work involves daily cleaning functions and minimal supervision.

Tappahannock Hospital - 16 hours weekly - 12:30p - 8:30p Biweekly schedule; week 1 Monday/Tuesday week 2 Monday/Friday

The Environmental Services Aide maintains the facilities within the highest quality standards for the industry while complying with all federal, state and local regulatory agencies’ guidelines.

Experience REQUIRED: None required

Experience PREFERRED: Previous environmental services work experience. Previous experience with infection control procedures and universal precautions.

Education/training REQUIRED: Must possess reading and writing skills and comprehend and communicate in English.

Independent action(s) required: Performs daily cleaning functions with minimal supervision and instruction. Job duties may include the handling, transportation, access to and/or contact with medications and related supplies

Compensation Range $15.30 - $22.95 Actual salary offers will be based on several key factors to include relevant work experience, credentials, and qualifications.
