Mercy Rehabilitation Hospital South in Missouri is seeking an Environmental Services Worker to create a clean, sanitary, and safe patient environment. You will support care teams by cleaning patient rooms and common areas and by stocking supplies as needed.

This full-time role emphasizes critical thinking, reliability, and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced hospital setting, contributing to high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED.
• Work Experience: Previous clinical housekeeping experience preferred.
• Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
• Critical thinking skills and decisive judgment.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning patient rooms and other assigned areas daily, including collecting and removing trash, changing bed linens and sanitizing all surfaces.
• Stocking paper items and other supplies in patient rooms as necessary or designated.
• Maintaining cart and equipment in clean, working condition and store in appropriate area when finished with shift.
