• Records and adjusts sterilizer temperatures to maintain compliance with regulations.
• Inspects and maintains equipment, performing preventative maintenance and documenting findings.
• Cleans and disinfects patient rooms, operating rooms, common areas, and furnishings according to policies and schedules.
• Mixes and uses cleaning chemicals and solutions as required.
• Collects, sorts, and processes soiled linen and laundry, maintaining infection control standards.
• Stocks cleaning carts and supplies, replenishes bathroom items, and secures housekeeping materials.
• Disposes of trash, bio-hazardous, and other waste materials in accordance with facility policies.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Handles, folds, sorts, processes, and transports laundry and linen throughout the facility to maintain adequate supplies for resident needs. Performs duties in accordance with facility policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations, to support an environment that enhances residents’ quality of life.
