Job summary

Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff, AR is seeking an Environmental Services Aide to maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment across patient rooms and public areas. You will support infection control and help ensure a positive patient experience through meticulous cleaning and organization.

Key duties include cleaning rooms and restrooms, operating floor care equipment, stocking supplies, and following infection-control policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior hospital or healthcare cleaning experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, visitors, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Clean patient rooms, restrooms, lounges, offices, corridors, walls, and windows according to daily schedule.
• Vacuum, sweep, mop, scrub, and shine floors; replenish paper and soap products; clean mirrors, sinks, and toilets.
• Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums and floor scrubbers.
• Collect and remove trash from all areas of the facility daily.
• Stock linens throughout the hospital to ensure unit readiness.
• Adhere to infection control policies and report safety hazards to supervisors.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

How You'll Contribute

The Environmental Services Aide is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment in all areas of the hospital, including patient rooms, public areas, and offices. This role supports infection control and contributes to a positive patient experience through cleanliness and organization.

Essential Functions

• Clean patient rooms, restrooms, lounges, offices, corridors, walls, and windows according to daily schedule.
• Vacuum, sweep, mop, scrub, and shine floors; replenish paper and soap products; clean mirrors, sinks, and toilets.
• Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums and floor scrubbers.

Qualifications And Requirements

Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Experience: Prior experience in a hospital or healthcare setting preferred; cleaning or housekeeping experience strongly preferred.

Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with patients, visitors, and hospital staff.
