Job summary

St. Joseph’s University Medical Center in Paterson, NJ is seeking an entry-level housekeeping professional to maintain clean, sanitary, and aseptic conditions across assigned areas.

You will scrub, mop, polish, and remove trash, restock dispensers, and perform high-dusting and bathroom cleaning under supervisor guidance.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and understand written instructions.
• No previous experience required; on-the-job training provided.
• High School diploma or equivalent preferred; 3–6 months orientation.

Responsibilities

• Keep assigned areas clean, sanitary and aseptic using approved germicides and cleaners.
• Remove trash from containers and perform high dusting and bathroom cleaning.
• Restock all dispensers, clean offices, utility rooms and lounges; follow supervisor directions.
• Assist with related housekeeping duties as assigned.

Job description

Performs high dusting spot cleaning, bathroom cleaning, restocks all dispensers throughout facility, cleans offices, utility rooms, lounges and all other rooms as assigned by supervisor.

Work requires the ability to read and understand written instruction and no previous experience, High School diploma or equivalent preferred plus three to six months on the job training and orientation.
