Job summary

Methodist Rehabilitation Hospital, part of Lifepoint Health, seeks an Environmental Services Supervisor to maintain a clean, safe hospital environment and support high-quality patient care.

You will lead cleaning operations across patient rooms, restrooms and public areas, operate cleaning equipment, and ensure adherence to infection control policies. The role offers a brand-new facility and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in hospital cleaning or housekeeping preferred.
• Ability to communicate with patients, visitors and staff.
• Previous cleaning equipment experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Clean patient rooms, restrooms, lounges, offices, corridors, walls and windows daily or as scheduled.
• Operate vacuums and floor scrubbers; replace paper and soap in restrooms; clean mirrors, sinks and toilets.
• Collect and remove trash from the building daily.
• Stock linens throughout the hospital and assist with moves as needed.
• Adhere to infection control policies and report safety hazards; may perform minor repairs such as changing light bulbs.

How You'll Contribute

An Environmental Services Supervisor who excels in this role:

• Clean patient rooms, restrooms, lounges, offices, corridors, walls and windows daily or as scheduled.
• Vacuum, sweep, mop, scrub and/or shine floors; replace paper and soap products in restrooms, clean mirrors, sinks and toilets, etc.
• Operate various types of equipment and machinery including vacuums and floor scrubbers.
• Collect and remove trash from building each day.
• Perform all duties in a safe and professional manner and in accordance with department policies and procedures.
• Report any malfunctions and maintenance problems. May perform minor repairs such as changing light bulbs as needed.
• Responsible for stocking linens throughout the hospital.
• Assists with office or room moves if needed.
• Adheres to all infection control policies and procedures. Reports safety hazards to supervisor.
• Other duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For

Applicants should possess the following qualifications and skills:

• High School Graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in hospital setting preferred.
• Previous cleaning or housekeeping experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate with patients, visitors and other hospital staff.
