Job summary

Finger Lakes Health is seeking an Environmental Services Aide to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment throughout patient care and non-patient areas.

You will support infection prevention efforts, handle routine cleaning tasks, and operate cleaning equipment with attention to safety. Flexible shifts and opportunities for full-time, part-time, and per diem are available; a $1,000 sign-on bonus is offered for eligible employees.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Preferred: prior hospital or healthcare housekeeping experience.
• Must be 18 years old to operate certain floor machines and carpet equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and detailed cleaning of patient rooms, offices, public areas, and other assigned spaces.
• Maintain a safe, sanitary, and welcoming environment.
• Clean and disinfect beds, restrooms, furniture, fixtures, and equipment.
• Replenish supplies and remove trash and linen promptly.
• Safely operate and maintain cleaning equipment.
• Follow infection prevention guidelines and safety procedures.
• Properly use cleaning chemicals, personal protective equipment (PPE), and safety equipment.
• Respond to department needs and complete assigned tasks efficiently
