Job summary

Accela Rehab and Care Center at Manalapan is hiring a dependable Housekeeping/Environmental Services team member for a full-time, day shift from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM. You will maintain a clean, safe environment for residents, visitors, and staff, following infection-control and safety procedures.

The ideal candidate has prior housekeeping experience and a strong attention to detail, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping, environmental services, or cleaning experience preferred.
• Healthcare or skilled nursing facility experience is a plus.
• Reliable and punctual.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to follow cleaning, sanitation and safety procedures.
• Professional and respectful attitude toward residents, families, and coworkers.
• Ability to perform the physical duties associated with housekeeping in a healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain resident rooms, common areas, offices, bathrooms, and other facility areas.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust and sanitize surfaces.
• Clean and disinfect high-touch areas according to facility standards.
• Collect and dispose of trash appropriately.
• Restock cleaning and housekeeping supplies as needed.
• Assist with maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for residents.
• Follow infection-control, sanitation, and safety procedures.
• Report maintenance, safety, or environmental concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
• Work cooperatively with nursing, maintenance, and other departments.
• Maintain resident privacy and confidentiality.
• Perform other housekeeping duties as assigned.
