Job summary

Mount Sinai Medical Center in Florida is seeking a Environmental Services Associate to maintain high standards of cleanliness in patient areas, corridors, and common spaces. You will follow established cleaning protocols, manage supplies, and adhere to infection-control guidelines as part of a dedicated facilities team.

You will work with a team to ensure timely completion of daily tasks, report equipment issues, and support the hospital’s commitment to safe, welcoming environments for patients

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience in floor care, linen handling, or healthcare facility operations preferred.
• Ability to follow safety and infection control guidelines and use chemicals safely.

Responsibilities

• Strip, wax, and maintain tile floors across the medical center.
• Clean corners and baseboards; keep closets clean and chemicals properly stored.
• Report equipment malfunctions and supply issues to supervisor; participate in department meetings.
• Follow infection control procedures and universal precautions during daily tasks.

Responsible for economical use of supply as controlled through distribution.Demonstrates knowledge of hard surface floor care, and carpet. Dust, damp mopping and burnishing/buffing as evident on observation.Accepts special cleaning assignments and completes promptly and thoroughly. As evident by adhere meeting hospital and departmental needs.Attends and participates in monthly department staff meetings staff development programs when scheduled. Is responsible for all information communicated at the meetings.Demonstrates efficient use of time as evident by completion of projects that are assigned.
