Job description

The Environmental Services Technician cleans and services an assigned area of the Hospital in a sanitary, orderly, and attractive condition. Adheres to Butler Hospital Service Standards.

Scheduled 40 hours Monday-Friday 7:30am-4pm

  • Receive and deliver packages throughout the hospital.
  • Break down and put away EVS and nursing supplies as delivered and keep storage organized.
  • Close out POs in Lawson.
  • Complete nursing supply orders and retrieve supply buckets.
  • Assist with PPE deliveries
  • Change out sharps containers as needed.
  • Pickup and deliver hospital equipment including oxygen tanks.
  • Report any low supply stocks to hospital purchaser.
  • Assist with Central Supply as needed.
  • Assist with work orders as needed.

Performs other duties as required.

Demonstrates competence and compassion in day-to-day interactions with patients, family members, or friends that may be present, either as patients or visitors at Butler Hospital.

Other Relationships: Patients, Family members, All other hospital Staff & employees

Education: High School diploma preferred

Training and Experience: Ability to follow oral and written instructions. On the job training is provided.
