Job summary

Tetra Tech is seeking a Mid-Level Environmental Scientist/Project Manager in Kansas City, MO. You will support and manage Brownfields, due diligence and compliance projects, with opportunities to obtain asbestos and lead-related licenses.

Join multidisciplinary teams, manage budgets and schedules, and grow into leadership roles. Travel and fieldwork are required as projects demand, with a focus on client interaction, data interpretation, and technical reporting.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills (both written and verbal).
• Excellent communication, responsiveness, and customer service skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Prepare or oversee preparation of reports (Phase I/II ESAs, hazardous materials surveys, QAPPs, SAPs, ABCAs, RAPs).
• Collect soil, groundwater, surface water, and indoor air samples.
• Interpret sample data and prepare data summary reports.
• Conduct Phase I Environmental Site Assessments.
• Support environmental studies including asbestos and lead-based paint surveys, and mold and radon assessments.
• Communicate and interact with project clients, vendors, and subcontractors.
• Oversee and manage subcontractors during site assessment, excavation, and other remedial activities.
• Support proposal and cost estimate development.
• Market/manage existing and new clients.
• Mentor and train junior level staff.
