Job summary

Bowman is seeking an Environmental Scientist III to join our team remotely. You will manage environmental projects for land development, including wetlands delineation, threatened and endangered species inventories, permitting, and coordination with county, state, and federal agencies.

You will mentor junior staff, apply broad engineering knowledge, and help ensure high-quality work product across projects while collaborating with a motivated team in a remote setting.

Purpose

Responsible for environmental projects related to the land development industry including wetland delineations, threatened and endangered species inventories, procuring appropriate permits, and coordination with regulatory agencies at the county, state and federal levels.

Leadership and Direction

• Receive broad guidance relating to overall key objectives, critical issues, new concepts, and policy matters and general parameters for execution. Receive direction as needed, and especially on highly complex assignments. Independently apply extensive and diversified knowledge of engineering principles and practices in broad areas of assignments and related fields. Review work produced by staff for quality assurance.
