Job summary

Pace® Analytical Services is seeking a Scientist 1 for our Peoria, IL laboratory. This full-time, onsite role supports environmental testing, analyzing air, water, and soil samples using established methods. You will conduct hands-on analysis and help ensure data integrity across projects.

The position offers a Monday–Friday schedule with typical lab duties, PPE provided, and competitive compensation based on experience. Join a team dedicated to safety and quality data.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or other science related degrees.
• Ability to work effectively in a laboratory environment and wear PPE.

Responsibilities

• Operate instruments such as GC, HPLC, ICP.
• Analyze air, water, and soil samples using established chemistry methods.
• Review and interpret results from the sample analysis.
• Document procedures, observations, and results to ensure high-quality records.
• Calibrate, clean, and maintain laboratory instruments.
