Job summary

HNTB in the United States is seeking an Environmental Scientist to support basic scientific studies, documentation and investigations at project sites across transportation infrastructure projects. You will assist with planning, design, program management and construction activities.

Under a Senior Scientist, you will set up test equipment, analyze data, prepare reports and assess potential environmental effects of proposed projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Geology, Biology, Ecology, Environmental Science, Archeology, Anthropology, or related field is required.
• Proven ability to analyze environmental data and summarize findings.
• Experience with field surveys and environmental documentation is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with basic scientific studies, data collection and field investigations across project sites.
• Set up test equipment and collect scientific data as required.
• Prepare data analyses, modeling outputs, and written reports to support findings.
• Under supervision, assess potential environmental effects of transportation projects.
• Maintain project records, files, and documentation for traceability.
• Stay current with ecology and environmental science developments relevant to the work.
• Support the team in delivering project deliverables and perform other duties as assigned.
