Job summary

HNTB is seeking an Environmental Scientist to support basic scientific studies, field investigations, and project documentation across transportation projects. You will assist with planning, design, program management, and construction phases, working under Senior Scientists to ensure data quality and compliance.

You will help set up field equipment, analyze data, and prepare reports and maps that support environmental documentation and permitting processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Geology, Biology, Ecology, Environmental Science, Archeology, or related field.
• Ability to analyze and summarize data accurately.
• Experience with field investigations and safety in the field.

Responsibilities

• Assist with basic scientific studies, documentations and investigations at project sites and phases.
• Set up test equipment to obtain scientific data.
• Prepare data analysis, modeling, and reports using established templates.
• Assist in assessing potential effects from construction and/or operation of transportation projects.
• Maintain administrative records and files for projects.
