Job summary

GeoSystems Analysis, Inc., a Trinity Consultants team, seeks an Environmental Scientist/Hydrogeologist to support groundwater, surface water, soil, and ecological studies in the southwest. Based in Tucson, you will conduct fieldwork, numerical modeling, data analysis and report writing, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team on water resources projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in natural resources sciences or related field.
• 3–5 years of progressive experience in a consulting environment.
• Preference for GIS analysis, programming (Python), numerical modeling, field data collection, and data analysis/report writing.

Responsibilities

• Apply hydrologic principles to describe water movement.
• Perform numerical modeling for surface water and groundwater.
• Conduct fieldwork including sampling, logging, and installing monitoring instruments.
• Collect and analyze surface water and groundwater samples.
• Manage field investigations and monitoring activities.
• Interpret data to assess land-use impacts on soils and groundwater.
• Collaborate with hydrogeologists, hydrologists, ecologists and engineers.
• Prepare clear technical reports for clients.
• Ensure health and safety guidelines are followed.
