Caltrans Environmental Scientists perform a broad range of work on environmental issues related to California transportation projects. They conduct field analyses, prepare environmental documents and technical studies, and assemble environmental permitting packages and regulatory permits to ensure compliance with environmental laws.
Under supervision, they apply scientific methods to evaluate data, review CEQA/NEPA documents, and implement mitigation strategies.
