Job summary

Tetra Tech is seeking a Junior to Mid-Level Environmental Scientist in Kansas City, MO to support government and private sector environmental projects, including Phase I/II Assessments and hazardous materials surveys. This full-time role offers mentoring, training, and potential to manage projects and lead teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Chemistry, Geology, or Engineering.
• 2–5 years of experience with environmental studies or related activities.
• 40-Hour HAZWOPER training and refresher; training provided if not present.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare reports including Phase I and II ESAs and hazardous materials surveys.
• Collect soil, groundwater, surface water, and indoor air samples.
• Interpret data and prepare data summary reports.
• Conduct Phase I Environmental Site Assessments.
• Support asbestos and lead-based paint surveys and mold/radon assessments.
• Interact with clients, vendors, and subcontractors.
• Oversee and manage subcontractors during site work.
