Job summary

Eurofins Scientific in Easton, Maryland is seeking a Scientist to conduct studies on persistence and behavior of environmental chemicals, including biodegradation, bioaccumulation in fish, hydrolysis, phototransformation and soil partitioning.

You will design and supervise experiments, serve as a technical expert for staff and clients, perform data evaluations, and prepare technical reports; occasional client contact may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience with metabolite identification.
• Ability to design and supervise experiments per regulatory requirements.
• Act as expert for staff and customers on technical issues.
• Experience in data evaluation and technical reporting.

Responsibilities

• Conducts studies to assess persistence and behavior of environmental chemicals including biodegradation, bioaccumulation in fish, hydrolysis, phototransformation and partitioning in soils and sediments.
• Designs and supervises experiments in accordance with regulatory requirements.
• Serves as an expert for technical issues for staff and customers.
• Performs data evaluations, reviews the work of others, and writes technical reports.
• May serve as a primary business contact for clients.
