Job Summary

Georgia Gwinnett College (GGC) invites applicants for an Assistant Professor of Environmental Science faculty position with preference for the area of soil science, earth science, sustainable agriculture, agricultural sciences, and/or a broadly defined interdisciplinary area of environmental science in the Institute for Environmental Science and Sustainability starting August 1, 2025. Primary responsibilities will be teaching a variety of undergraduate environmental science courses, including introductory environmental science, soil science, and other specialized courses within the candidate¿s expertise. Depending on the candidate's expertise, occasional teaching of upper-level environmental science courses may be expected. Additionally, the candidate will serve as the manager of the campus microfarm, integrating it into teaching, research, and outreach activities. Successful candidates will have a strong commitment to undergraduate education, student engagement, and service to the college and community.

Required Qualifications

Applicants should hold a Ph.D. in Environmental Science (or a closely related field) on or before the semester of the start date and a minimum of 18 graduate credit hours within the discipline.
