Job summary

Kimley-Horn in Columbus, OH is seeking an Environmental Science graduate to join our team. This is an on-site, entry-level role and travel of 10–30% may be required to support projects. You will work with seasoned professionals across disciplines to deliver environmentally sound solutions.

You will gain experience with regulatory frameworks, wetlands, water quality, GIS, and fieldwork while contributing to real client projects and our culture of collaboration and learning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Biology, Environmental Science, or related majors by Summer 2027.

Responsibilities

• Solve complex problems with project managers and cross-disciplinary teams to implement client visions for future environments.
• Develop familiarity with federal, state and local environmental regulations and Kimley-Horn’s practices and standards.
• Gain knowledge in areas like natural resource regulations, wetlands, botany, soil science, ecology, wildlife biology, water resources, GIS and environmental science.
• Some travel and fieldwork may be required (approximately 10-30%).

Responsibilities

• Solve complex problems, assist project managers, and collaborate across disciplines to produce our clients’ visions for the future built environment.
• Develop familiarity with the federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Kimley-Horn’s and our client’s practices, procedures, and standards.
• The opportunity to gain knowledge in one or more of the following: natural resource regulations, water quality regulatory programs, wetlands identification including knowledge of botany and soil science and experience in ecology, wildlife biology, water resources, geographic information systems and environmental science.
• Some travel and fieldwork may be required (approximately 10-30%).
