Atlas Building Products in Ohio is seeking an Environmental & Safety Compliance Coordinator to assure regulatory compliance and drive safety initiatives across our facilities.
You will monitor federal, state, and local environmental regulations, support engineering and operations projects, and lead the organization’s safety and security programs. This exempt role requires knowledge of OHSA standards and strong communication with management and regulators.

Summary Assists facilities in assuring compliance with federal, state and local environmental regulations and provides environmental technical support for various engineering and operations projects and facility operations. As safety coordinator you will manage the organization’s safety and security programs.

Education and/or Experience
Associates degree in an environmental, safety, engineering, and/or business management field is preferred. Five (5) years of work experience in the environmental and safety environment in lieu of education will be considered.
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
