Job description

As part of our continued success, we are seeking a mid- to senior-level Environmental Remediation Specialist.The selected candidate will have the option to work a hybrid work schedule in any one of the following office locations: Seattle or Tacoma, Washington or Portland, Oregon.

The successful candidate will have responsibilities for task and project management in support of projects involving site investigation and remediation, with possible cross-over into environmental due diligence and environmental compliance.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Managing complex site investigation and/or remediation projects as a project manager or manager of large tasks
  • Proposal preparation and cost estimating
  • Data evaluation and reporting
  • Relevant State and Federal environmental regulations, especially Washington’s Model Toxics Control Act (MTCA)
  • Conducting subsurface site investigations for various media such as groundwater, surface water, soil, soil vapor, and potentially sediments
  • Selection, design, and implementation of site remediation systems (including in situ and ex situ techniques and technologies)
  • Demonstrated commitment to client service, including high quality work, ethical standards, and strong written and verbal communication skills

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in environmental engineering, related engineering field, or natural sciences (e.g., geology, hydrogeology) is required for understanding contaminants and environmental cleanup
  • 6 to 12+ years’ experience in the environmental consulting industry performing/managing environmental site investigation and remediation
  • 2+ years of project management experience
  • Strong technical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and excellent written and verbal communication skills are required
  • Strong quantitative and data analysis skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional licensure as a PE, LG, LHG, or similar

Landau Associates offers an excellent compensation and benefits package in an environment that promotes personal growth and professional advancement. The salary range for this position is $102,500 – $155,000. Compensation is based on a variety of factors, including experience, education, performance, location, andinternal equity. As part of our compensation program, we review and update our salary ranges at least annually. We provide a wide variety of benefits to support our employees and their families.
