Job summary

Essel is seeking an experienced Environmental Project Engineer / Remediation Specialist to manage planning and execution of environmental remediation and construction projects in Santa Ana, California. The ideal candidate will support project activities from planning through completion while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and safety requirements.

Experience in environmental remediation, strong technical writing, and collaboration with diverse teams are essential for success in this role. The position involves travel to project sites up to 50% of the time.

Qualifications

• 3–7 years of relevant experience in environmental remediation or related environmental consulting.
• Current 40-Hour OSHA HAZWOPER Certification and 8-Hour HAZWOPER Refresher.
• Working knowledge of environmental regulations including CERCLA and RCRA.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and directing environmental remediation projects.
• Support project execution activities including scheduling and cost tracking.
• Prepare technical reports and sampling plans, ensuring compliance with regulations.
