Job summary

KEMRON Environmental Services, Inc. in the Philadelphia area seeks an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to support environmental remediation, heavy construction, and site development projects.

The role requires operating excavators, bulldozers, loaders, graders, and other equipment, with frequent overnight and out-of-state travel across New Jersey and New York. A 40-hour HAZWOPER certification and valid driver's license are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of experience operating heavy construction equipment.
• Two years of experience in environmental construction, remediation, earthwork, or similar field construction is preferred.
• Commercial Driver's License (CDL) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate multiple heavy equipment types per project requirements.
• Excavate, load, grade, compact, and move soil, gravel, contaminated material, debris, and other materials.
• Set grades and elevations per plans and blueprints.
• Load trucks safely and coordinate with drivers and spotters.
• Perform pre-use inspections and basic preventive maintenance.
• Report defects, maintenance needs, equipment damage, and unsafe conditions promptly.
• Assist with traffic-control devices and flagging as needed.
• Follow safety plans and project procedures; report incidents and safety concerns.
