Winter Environmental is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator to join our field team in Atlanta, GA. You will operate excavators, loaders, bulldozers, and skid steers on environmental remediation and demolition projects across the Southeast, with travel and per diem provided.

The role emphasizes safety, efficiency, and collaboration with site supervisors and crews to ensure project success. Per diem and lodging support are available for out-of-town assignments.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience operating heavy equipment on construction, demolition, or remediation sites.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to various job sites across the Southeast.
• Strong attention to safety and ability to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate excavators, loaders, dozers, skid steers for environmental remediation, demolition, and site cleanup.
• Perform soil excavation, grading, debris removal, material handling, and backfilling in accordance with project plans.
• Follow all OSHA, EPA, and site-specific safety protocols to ensure compliance.
• Conduct daily inspections of equipment, perform basic maintenance, and report any issues.
• Collaborate with site supervisors, crews, and subcontractors for smooth project execution.
• Travel as needed for out-of-town projects (company covers travel expenses and per diem).
