The role supports projects in Midland, TX or Las Cruces, NM, with remote work options, and includes field investigations, design, permitting, and construction phases. You will contribute to client-focused solutions, manage projects, mentor junior staff, and participate in business development.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years (7+ preferred) of direct environmental consulting experience.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to environmental remediation and vapor intrusion.
  • Experience with multi-disciplinary project teams.
  • Ability to travel to client facilities and work in a fast-paced consulting environment.
  • Current OSHA 40-hr HAZWOPER training and refreshers preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Task and project management, including planning and implementing investigation and remediation projects, budgeting and schedule adherence, client satisfaction and profitability.
  • Performing and managing contaminated site assessments and remedy evaluation, including work plans, feasibility studies, and remedy design.
  • Conducting site assessment fieldwork, soil, groundwater technologies and pilot/bench programs.
  • Preparing remediation action plans, drawings, analyses, specifications, and reports.
  • Mentoring junior staff and coordinating with subcontractors.
  • Ensuring regulatory compliance and alignment with codes and industry standards.
  • Engaging with clients, regulatory personnel, and other stakeholders in meetings.
  • Supporting lead generation and business development activities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Task and project management, including planning and implementing investigation and remediation projects, budgeting and budget management, adherence to schedule, quality, client satisfaction, and profitability.
  • Performing and managing contaminated site assessments, remedy evaluation, including preparing investigation work plans, feasibility studies, removal action work plans, remedy design, and remedy implementation.
  • Performing and managing site assessment fieldwork, pilot and bench-scale programs for soil, soil vapor, and groundwater technologies.
  • Preparing remediation action plans for soil, soil vapor, and groundwater remediation projects including drawings, engineering analyses and calculations, and technical specifications.
  • Preparing technical reports, letters, memoranda, plans, and proposals.
  • Management and mentoring of junior staff and managing subcontractors.
  • Manage work to meet contract schedules, appropriate codes and regulations, regulatory compliance and/or enforcement and industry standard-of-care criteria.
  • Prepare for and participate in meetings with clients, regulatory personnel, and other parties.
  • Consistent with our sell-manage-do business model, play a role supporting lead generation, business development, staff development, and mentoring.
  • Help broaden our reputation via publishing and visibility at prominent industry conferences.
  • Drive personal, company, and rental vehicles to client or company project or office sites, and other business locations, as needed.
Education and Licensure
  • Bachelor's degree in geology, or environmental, civil, or chemical engineering (required)
  • Advanced degree in geology or engineering. (preferred)
  • Professional registration or ability to obtain within one year. (i.e., P.G. or P.E.). (preferred)
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
  • At least 5 years (7+ years preferred) of direct environmental consulting experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. (required)
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to environmental remediation and vapor intrusion. (required)
  • Experience with multi-disciplinary project teams. (required)
  • Ability to succeed in a fast-paced consulting environment, handling multiple project assignments, meeting strict deadlines, and traveling to client facilities as needed. (required)
  • Knowledge of Texas geology. (preferred)
  • Previous project experience in the Oil and Gas sector. (preferred)
  • Regular field work and overnight travel. (required)
  • Current OSHA 40-hr HAZWOPER training and refreshers. (preferred)
  • Health & Safety training, medical monitoring, and client-driven drug and background testing may be required.
  • Valid U.S. driver's license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel. (required)
