Job summary

State of Michigan seeks Environmental Quality Analysts at levels 9/10/P11 to support a complex, technical environmental program. You will be the installation's expert on DoD, USAF, ANG, EPA, and state environmental laws and regulations, handling hazardous materials/waste, EMS, solid waste, EIAP, air quality, storm water, and pest/asbestos management.

Education includes a bachelor's in sciences or related fields with substantial credits in environmental disciplines.

Qualifications

  • Possession of a bachelor's degree in the biological sciences, engineering, environmental studies and sustainability, physical sciences, resource development, or resource management.
  • Possession of a bachelor's degree in any major with at least 30 semester (45 term) credits in one or a combination of the following: biochemistry, biology, botany, chemistry, crop and soil science, ecology, engineering, environmental health, environmental science, environmental studies and sustainability, forest management, geology, meteorology, microbiology, physical geography, physics, remote sensing, resource development, resource management, toxicology, or zoology.

Responsibilities

  • No specific type or amount is required for Environmental Quality Analyst 9.
  • One year of professional experience equivalent to an Environmental Quality Analyst 9 for Environmental Quality Analyst 10.
  • Two years of professional experience equivalent to an Environmental Quality Analyst including one year equivalent to an Environmental Quality Analyst 10 for Environmental Quality Analyst P11.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in the biological sciences, engineering, environmental studies and sustainability, physical sciences, resource development, or resource management
Bachelor’s degree with at least 30 semester credits in biochemistry, biology, botany, chemistry, ecology, geology, or related disciplines
