The Michigan State Police is seeking an Environmental Quality Analyst to manage programs ensuring the protection of Michigan's water resources. This position implements programs that fulfill the statutory responsibilities of the department to protect human health and prevent unlawful pollution of the surface waters and groundwaters of the state within the Jackson District Office. Responsibilities include oversight of the Industrial Pretreatment Program (IPP) and the Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4) Program under Part 31, Water Resources Protection, of the NREPA. The role involves program permitting, compliance, enforcement activities, technical assistance, spill emergency response, and complaint investigation.

This position is based in Jackson, MI. A hybrid work schedule may be available, combining remote and in-person work. Remote work must be performed within Michigan, with a designated, secure workspace. Relocation expenses are not covered. Details will be discussed during the interview.
