Job summary

Battelle in Norwell, MA seeks a Quality Control Coordinator – Environmental Testing to ensure data integrity and timely, accurate reports. You will collaborate with analysts, project managers, and clients to finalize data packages and deliverables in a fast-paced laboratory setting.

The role emphasizes data tracking, completeness checks, and coordination across departments, using LIMS and Office 365 to support quality control and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and minimum of two years of experience in laboratory operations, data management, reporting, or quality control.
• Strong attention to detail, with excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a production laboratory environment.
• Applicants for this position must be a U.S. Person, as defined by U.S. export control laws.

Responsibilities

• Performs completeness checks on analytical data packages and final reports prior to release, confirming that required results, QC summaries, chain-of-custody documentation, signatures, and client-specified deliverable elements are present.
• Prepares and assembles final data reports and electronic data deliverables (EDDs) in accordance with client and project requirements and turnaround times.
• Gathers, collects, records, tracks, and verifies data and information from multiple sources, including LIMS, laboratory records, and client project requirements.
• Inputs, compiles, reviews, and analyzes data; verifies data entry, qualifiers, and reporting limits in LIMS against project requirements.
• Tracks report status and turnaround times; identifies missing or inconsistent items and coordinates corrections with analysts, technical staff, and project managers.
• Uses department-specific software, including LIMS and Microsoft Office 365, to coordinate and support laboratory initiatives.
• Provides data and information to others on functional unit processes and procedures, including report status and deliverable requirements.
• Follows all laboratory safety policies and Battelle Quality Systems.
• Other coordinating duties as assigned.
• Coordinates activities between laboratory departments, project managers, clients, and outside parties to support timely delivery of results.
• Maintains organized records and documentation to support internal and external audits, accreditation assessments, and responses to client inquiries.
