Qualifications

  • Valid Driver License is required.
  • Willingness to travel (but not exceed 2-4 days at a time).
  • Experience in Phase I ESAs, NEPA assessments, or similar is welcomed.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct site visits of wireless communications facilities and commercial properties.
  • Perform regulatory agency file reviews and draft reports in accordance with ASTM standards.
  • Conduct preliminary screenings of listed or proposed threatened species.

LOCATION: FULLY REMOTE - Dallas/Ft. Worth Area, Texas

Job Summary

Trileaf is seeking a full-time Environmental Project Scientist to conduct environmental due diligence work on telecommunications and commercial real estate projects, including Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (Phase I ESAs) and Phase II ESAs and/or Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) Review Reports. The position is categorized as 'temporary,' but is full-time, and is anticipated to last for at least three (3) months.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Phase I ESA responsibilities include conducting site visits of wireless communications facilities and commercial properties, taking detailed field notes, photographs, and conducting interviews. Subsequent to field work, office activities consist of performing regulatory agency file reviews, reviewing historic data and environmental databases, followed by the interpretation of the compiled information and the drafting of a standardized report in accordance with ASTM E-1527-13 (AAI).
  • NEPA responsibilities include conducting site visits of proposed wireless communications facilities, preliminary screening of listed and/or proposed threatened or endangered species, critical habitat, and correspondence with Tribal, federal, state, and local agencies in accordance with FCC Rules Title 47 of the Code of Federal Regulations, Part 1, Subpart I, rule sections 1.1301 to 1.1319.

  • Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in Biology, Environmental Science, Geology, Geography or related fields
